| 1. I've installed the software,
but it doesn't seem to work. |
| |
Here is a checklist of possible causes:
- Is your device on our list of compatible
devices?
- Does your network support streaming video?
- Is your network account activated for this feature?
- Are you in network range and connected to the internet?
- Does your signal appear strong?
- Are cookies enabled in Internet Explorer?
- Are proxy server settings disabled?
|
| 2. Can you please explain what
the Red Words and Stats: c0 0.00 0.0kbps
0 0 0 mean. |
| |
Red Words are references that tell you what is going on at that
time. If you see an Error, it should be self explanatory. Fps =
frames per second, kbps = kilobits per second
The following are the sequence of events that should occur after
pressing "Start"
- Stats c0 - Attempting to start livecast
- Stats c1 - Screen becomes bright
- Stats c2 - Creating Tunnel!
- Stats c4 - Connecting..(001), fps will start
- Stats c7 - Connecting..(00x), kbps and encoding/CPU analysis start)
- Stats s5 - Livecasting Now! , kbps will constantly monitor network and strive to utilize as much uplink bandwidth as you have available in order to provide maximum fps.
- Stats s6 - Live Webcasting Now! , Network congestion. Network is not able to pass all the data through
|
| 3. My phone is livecasting fine
for a short time then stops. |
| |
Try stopping the livecast and try lowering the settings to find
a more compatible bit rate.
Also check to ensure cookies are enabled in Internet Explorer;
IE>Tools>Options>Security> check Allow Cookies
|
| 4. One of my livecasts says it's
corrupted when I go to play it. |
| |
Although not common, this can happen when you have poor intermittent
connectivity. Our servers receive header data and connectivity breaks
before video data can be transmitted.
|
| 5. My mobile device appears to
have a good connection when livecasting, but viewers have mentioned
the livecaqst starts and stops. |
| |
This is likely due to connectivity issues. Check the stats at the
bottom of the Livecast screen. If the Stats start with s6, this indicates
a poor connection to your network, possibly causing data packets
to be lost. Although the viewer's screen will automatically resume
playing when the connection gets better, you may want to check for
a better network connection.
|
| 6. I can livecast, but
there is no audio present. |
| |
Go to the SETTINGS screen and ensure the Include Audio option is checked.
|
| 7. I have a Samsung Blackjack
and whenever I try to livecast, it gives me an "invalid user name or
password" error, and I'm sure I know my password.
|
| |
The Blackjack suffers from two design flaws. First, the key mapping
is unconventional when accessing numbers or symbols, and secondly,
the password field does not show characters. An easy way to address
this problem is to make sure your password uses lower case letters only.
|
| 8. I have a Nokia E65 and when I try
installing the software, the phone says that the certificates are not compatible.
It is running on Symbian S60 3th generation so i can't see why it shouldn't work.
|
| |
Nokia E series phones require a certification procedure as follows:
- Check the date, time and year are set correctly.
- Go to: Menu > Tools > App.Mgr. > Options > Settings > Software Installation >
set to ALL. Also Online Storage set to OFF
- You may have to configure the Real Player streaming APN. This is usually
done by Nokia, but we've encountered non-configured handsets from time to time.
To do this, open up Real Player. Go to Options > Settings > Streaming > Network
> and set the Default access point to the same APN that you receive your data on.

| 9. I can't copy the embed code for my blog. I'm using Firefox browser.
|
| |
There may be compatability conflicts with Firefox. If you cannot copy the grayed embed text in Firefox, please try a different browser (i.e. Internet Explorer). You should be able to click on the the gray text and do a 'copy and paste' to your blog.
